Leptosphaeria peruviana Speg.

An. Soc. Cient. Argent. 12: 179, 1881.

Ascomata: 122-150 µm in diam., immersed, lenticular to subglobose, black, ostiolate, coriaceous, membranous.

Asci: 52-66 x 8-14 µm, 8-spored, cylindrical-clavate, rounded at the apex, pedunculate, thick-walled, bitunicate, fissitunicate.

Ascospores: 10-16 x 4-5.5 µm, overlaping 1-seriate, dirty olive-brown, cylindrical-ellipsoidal, 3-septate, constricted at the septa, second cell from the top largest.
